Standalone/Client Workstations System Requirements :
  • At least Pentium III, 500 MHz
  • 128 MB RAM
  • VGA / Super VGA monitor
  • Hard Disk with at least 10GB
  • 1.44MB 3.5" floppy diskette drive/CD-ROM drive
  • MS Windows 98 or higher
"Standalone/Client Workstation" - Computers used by users to access the SERVER sharing the V-LIB program files as well as the data.

Network Server System Requirements :

  • At least Pentium IV, 2.4 GHz
  • At least 1 GB RAM
  • Hard Disk with at least 80 GB
  • MS Windows 2000 Server or MS Windows 2003 Server or higher
"Network Server" - A server that has IIS running. V-LIB data and programs will be stored in the server. IIS is needed for the Web OPAC (web version of V-LIB) to run. Backup of V-LIB data and some selected batch programs are also done at the server.
